Exploring around the large lake at this beautiful country park near Newton Abbot, Devon

What an amazing place this is. Just off the A38 and really great also for a pit stop. 114 acres of parkland and great for dog walks. Many different pathways. We chose to go on the Heritage trail around the lake although you could of gone way into the woods. This is a flat route and we saw many people like myself in wheelchairs having great time. Was so lovely to see. When we went part of the route was closed so we couldn't do the complete circle but it was well worth it. Absolutely loved the sky platform. So clever! Lots of birdlife and well worth taking binoculars. They have great disabled toilets and you can hire a tramper. There isn't a cafe just a wagon next to the visitor centre with drinks and snacks. Benches to sit on. Disabled have to pay for parking and there are approximately 6 bays. Lovely place and everyone looked they were having a great time. So much to see and lots of tree coverage and benches. Great picnic ones too so why not bring a picnic. Post code TQ12 6QG
