In the previous video, I talked about why consistency alone doesn’t always work with children, and why nervous system regulation is often the missing piece. In this second part, I walk through three real-life parenting scenarios to show what this actually looks like in everyday moments. The challenge most parents face isn’t understanding the concept, it’s knowing how to apply it when things don’t go the way we expected. In this video we look at situations like: -bedtime resistance -leaving the park -sibling conflict and how the same boundary can land very differently depending on what a child’s nervous system is carrying in that moment. The goal isn’t to abandon consistency, it’s to understand what children need underneath it so they can feel safe enough for boundaries to work. If you haven’t watched Part 1, I recommend starting there first, as it explains the nervous system foundations behind this conversation. If this kind of approach resonates with you, feel free to subscribe! I share practical, nervous-system-based insights to support both parents and children in everyday life.
