Overlanding the Smokey Mountain 1000 Day 3 | Mt. Mitchell to Brevard NC

Today, we resumed our Smokey Mountain 1000 adventure. We begin day 3 where we ended day 2, which was the Linville Falls area. This day also begins our 3-day trip. Remember, we are doing this route clockwise. We began day 1 in Hampton, TN. We skipped some of this route on day 3 because we wanted to check out Mt. Mitchell. Skipping part of the route was still awesome because it’s a ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway with a ton of crazy views. It started to rain on us and looked like a huge storm was coming our way. We found a lot of camp sites below Asheville, NC, but didn’t find one we wanted. We probably should have taken one that we saw even though it may have not been the coolest spot. 😂 We ended the route in Brevard, NC when we headed back up north a bit to look at Avery Rd, which was another forest road we thought May have a couple camp sites. We ended up getting a hotel room back up near Asheville because it was getting late and looked like it could storm overnight. Don’t forget to subscribe!
