This is episode 3 of my #toyota #troopy / #troop carrier #camper #landcruiser conversion series. Two videos in one week? I guess that's one advantage of #covid #lockdown... In this episode, I stick some #flooring in. I chose to use a #plywood base flooring, and layered some vinyl floorboards over the top of it. #Floorboards were a 2.2 square meter pack, which JUST managed to do the whole #vehicle with about half a plank left, so be efficient if you buy this sized pack. I used the existing threaded holes in the #cab to mount the #floor securely, and these holes will also be the anchor points for the furniture being made in the #future. This is much better than using through-bolting and other such nonsense. I also probably spent a bit too much time making the floorboards perfect, whereas the reality is that more than half of it will never be seen again, but oh well. Better that than the other way around. Next episode, I'll start to build the actual campy stuff, so it'll be a bit more than a troopy with no rear seats.
