A Message for my Subscribers.

A few weeks back, whilst out in his morning walk with Marianne, Toby collapsed and couldn't get back up. After taking him to the vets, we were shocked to find out he was totally paralysed. Anyway, after a whirlwind of a week trying to find out what had caused his paralysis, we finally got answers from a neurologist. His scans showed that he has 'intervertebral disc disease'. It's where the gel-like centre of the disc extrudes and compresses the spinal cord causing paralysis. Thankfully, there's an excellent prognosis that he'll make a full recovery. We've got a long few weeks in front of us caring for him, and ensuring he gets the correct treatment, but we're confident he's going to bounce back fighting fit and he'll be back in the mountains loving life within the next few months.
