Commemorating the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Theme 2025: “Unite to End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls” In this special edition of ZUNMO Connect, the ZUNMO National Gender Affairs Chairperson, Ms. Vanelle Musonda Mabumba, joins the global community in marking the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, observed annually from 25 November to 10 December. This year’s theme, “Unite to End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls,” highlights the growing threat of online harassment, cyberbullying, digital stalking, and other forms of violence affecting women and girls across the world — including those in the nursing and midwifery profession. As the Zambia Union of Nurses and Midwives Organisation (ZUNMO), we reaffirm our historic commitment to gender equity and equality. Nurses and midwives are often the first point of contact for survivors — making their role essential in ending violence, both online and offline. 🔔 Join the movement. Raise awareness. Speak out. Act. Together, we can help create safe, inclusive communities and digital spaces for all women and girls.
