P&O Iona Northern Europe Cruise .. Le Havre ..Homeward bound .

We arrived in the port of Le Havre in Northern France .This was our first ever visit to this port . As we had heard that it wasn't the most exciting of ports to visit we had booked a two hour slot in the onboard Thermal Suite . This was going to be a chance to relax and unwind for a couple of hours . So after breakfast we headed down to the Thermal suite to be shown where the changing area was and instructions on what different Pools ,Saunas , steam rooms were available . We had great time and felt very relaxed afterwards . We then decided we would go into Le Havre after all , we waited about twenty minutes for the shuttle bus . You could walk if you wanted to but it was a bit of a trek to the main part of the town . When the bus dropped us off there was a very large queue waiting to get the bus back to the ship . Not the most inspirational destination we have ever visited ,it did have a very small Christmas market where we found something to eat . Plus a Ferris Wheel that we had to have a go on . That was our third Ferris Wheel of this cruise , Pearl commented that she was starting to feel like a Hamster . On returning to the ship we had a go at the putting competition in the Atrium , before getting ready for our final evening onboard Iona . Overall we have had a very enjoyable time , it was a shame that we missed the city of Hamburg but you can't control the weather unfortunately. We are looking forward to returning to Iona in May when we visit the Norwegian Fjords .
