An interesting aquarium rack was displayed at the booth, suitable for both displaying fish (like in pet shops) and for breeding fish. The rack had closed-cilrculation filtration system, controlled by computerized panel located at one side of the rack. I really like the idea of having one large system of aquariums, like this rack, where the whole process of breeding fish can be conducted. Fish can spawn in small compartments in the central part, then eggs can be trasnfered to larger compartments for hatching, then the fry can be trasfered to larger tanks for growing up. Everything going on within one and the same unit, with the same water conditions, temperature etc. Of course, there are people who will say "Common water circulation system is not good, because one sick fish will poison all the other fish in the whole system", but I agree with it only partially. Actually, I treat such systems as one very large tank with many compartments - and if someone has a very large tank, he (or she) doesn't keep every single fish separated from every other fish, right? All fish swim in one large tank, so if one fish gets sick, it can poison other fish. Yet, nobody worries about it. Hence, no need to worry about it also in such multi-compartment closed circulation aquarium system :)
