After the previous video, I started looking at other YouTube videos and decided that I wasn't going to give up on the nearside rear hub. I went to my local Machine Mart and bought a Clarke CHT240 hub puller to see if I could push the driveshaft out of the hub. It worked a treat so I was able to change the nearside rear wheel bearing. I also fitted my new brake drums. A road test confirmed that the noise was indeed the rear wheel bearings. I'm glad that I persisted rather than paying the local garage to do the work. Also, I've noticed that my 318i seems to be the only one featured on YouTube that has rear drum brakes but the basic method of removing the hub and replacing the rear wheel bearings is still the same. #BMW #E36 #3Series PLEASE NOTE: I'm just a DIY mechanic. I try to do things the correct way but sometimes I have to get by with what I have. This is more a "how-I-did-it" rather than a "how-to". Tools used.
