On January 7, 2026, Peter Girard Rivard passed away at the age of 72 years. Peter will be lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law, Pat (Nick) Barnay; niece, Char (Steve) Bergen; nephew, Rick (Sandra) Barnay; great-nephews and nieces, Adrian (Amanda) Lewicki, Evan Lewicki, Victoria and Stephanie Barnay; and a very special cousin, Nancy (Ron) Ruff; as well as extended relatives and friends. Peter was predeceased by his loving wife, Donna; and parents, Basil and Helen Rivard. Peter will always be remembered for his kindness, thoughtfulness and his utmost and undying love for Donna. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Peter’s excellent care team at St. Michael’s Extended Care for their extreme kindness, compassion, and professionalism in providing Peter with the utmost care and dignity in his final days. A Funeral Rite will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue NW, Edmonton, officiated by Archpriest Cornell Zubritsky.
