È l’acronimo di Zona Speciale di Conservazione. Le ZSC sono i siti della rete Natura 2000 designati sulla base della cosiddetta Direttiva “Habitat” (92/43/CEE), che ha lo scopo di promuovere il mantenimento della biodiversità nel territorio europeo. Le ZSC sono state individuate per la presenza al loro interno di particolari habitat e specie che gli stati membri dell’Unione sono tenuti a mantenere in un buono stato di conservazione. What does SAC mean? It stands for Special Area of Conservation. The SACs are the sites of the Natura 2000 network designated on the basis of the so-called "Habitat Directive" (Dir. 92/43/EEC), which aims to promote the maintenance of biodiversity in the European territory.
