BNSF on the Crookton Cutoff

The heat is ON...and another morning spent around Eagle Nest, one of my favorite locations on the Seligman Sub. First up was BNSF 5372 east with an empty ethanol train, followed shortly thereafter by an eastbound stack led by CEFX 1020. In all my years of watching trains, I think this was the first time I'd seen a CEFX unit leading a stack on the BNSF. The signals at West Eagle Nest went dark for a good 20 minutes, then lit up again showing a westbound green for both mains. A loaded ethanol train was working its way up the north track and two intermodals were lined to run around it on Main 2. The ethanol train was led by BNSF 5422 with the intermodals, led by BNSF 7258 and BNSF 7822, respectively, following closely behind running wrong main.
