Bhindi Masala | Bhendichi bhaji #thathappybowl #bhindimasala #okra #bhendichibhaji Allergy Info: Gluten-free, dairy-free and egg-free Okra recipe. Serves: 6-8 Ingredients: Bhindi/Okra/Ladyfingers - Cut into pieces, about 8-9 cups Jeera - 1 teaspoon Onion - 2 medium, sliced Green Chillies - 4 slit ( or to taste ) Ginger - 1.5 teaspoon, grated Curry leaves - 3 Methi seeds & Fennel(Saunf) Seeds - 1/2 teaspoon each in slightly crushed form Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon Red Chilli powder - 1 teaspoon or to taste Coriander seed powder - 1 tablespoon Amchur/Dry Mango powder - 1 teaspoon Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon Sugar - 1 teaspoon (Optional) Salt - to taste Oil - As needed Method: Wash & dry Bhindi. Cut into small pieces. Heat oil over medium flame. Add Jeera and crushed seeds. Let it sizzle. Add onion and fry for a few mins. Add ginger, green chillies & curry leaves and saute. When onion changes color, add Bhindi, salt, and the dry powders except Amchur. Cover with lid and cook over low flame for 6-7 minutes. Add Amchur and mix. Cover and cook for 8-10 minutes or until Bhindi is tender. Add lemon juice and sugar. Cook on high heat for the last few minutes. Serve hot.
