Hadleigh in Suffolk circular walk including Hadleigh train track

This walk was a circular walk around Hadleigh in Suffolk - an ancient market town. We parked in Hadleigh carpark, behind the High Street (a very accessible carpark with toilets and extremely good rates - 3 hours free then from 3-24 hrs only £3) from here we followed our chosen route through the town and off into the beautiful suffolk countryside. We were attempting to follow a route from what proved to be, a too old book of walks!! but luckily with the help from some lovely people, we were able to find our way by following other signposted walks. The route we followed lead us on to the Hadleigh railway track which starts in Hadleigh town centre and follows through to Raydon for 2 miles. The track itself is pleasant enough but is quite a busy route for walkers, runners and cycles. We thoroughly enjoyed our walk, even though we seemed lost at times, walking over meadows, through fields and woodlands and the scenery was beautiful! I would recommend Hadleigh as a destination for a walk, but do follow a trusted route and not from an out-dated book of walks!
