This fritter is usually topped with powdered sugar, and may be filled with custard, jelly, cannoli-style pastry cream, or a butter-and-honey zeppole are light and not overly sweet, as the dough is the same as the light and airy pâte à choux dough used for cream puffs, eclairs, and other classic French treats, and contains no sugar. In fact, for a lighter version, you can easily bake them instead of frying. INGREDIENTS : • 1 & ½ cup of plain flour ( maida ) • ½ tsp of salt • 2 tsp of baking powder • 1 cup of yogurt • 1 egg • 1 tsp of lemon zest HOW TO MAKE IT : • Take a bowl , add the flour in it and then add the salt and baking powder as well but it is best to sift these both things first. • Mix well • Add 1 cup of yogurt in it, one egg,mix them good and 1 tsp of lemon zest. • Now go to stove and take a deep pot and then deep fry in oil on medium flame after heating the oil. now fry them till they are golden brown and well cooked.
