In this video I show you how to use OpenRouter to access any model - including free ones - directly in Xcode's Claude Agent. I walk through configuring the settings.json file under Library/Developer/Xcode/CodingAssistant/ClaudeAgentConfig. Set the base URL to openrouter.ai/api, add your OpenRouter API key as the auth token, and make sure the Anthropic API key is empty. I test three different models: Gemini 3 Flash Preview, Kimi K-2.5 (with interleaved thinking), and Trinity Large Preview (completely free).
