*This is an extended version of a previously uploaded project. In the fall of 2024, the Media Arts and Dance Departments collaborated on a short documentary film for the National Geographic's Slingshot Challenged. Sponsored by the Walter Anderson Museum in Ocean Springs, MS, students made a short film that highlighted the environmental issue of keeping the beaches clean. Through interpretive dance and cinematography, the film hopes to convey the beauty of our beaches and why we need to do our part to rid them of wasteful materials.
