2026 Toyota GR Yaris MORIZO RR is an insane hot hatch!

Toyota has announced the new Toyota GR Yaris MORIZO RR, a limited-edition, high-performance variant of the GR Yaris, developed with direct input from Toyota's chairman and master driver Akio Toyoda. Production will be strictly capped at 100 units for selected European markets and 100 units for Japan, with a planned sales launch in spring 2026. The MORIZO RR retains the GR Yaris’s 1.6-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine, making 272 hp, paired with an eight-speed Gazoo Racing Direct Automatic Transmission. The MORIZO RR features an exclusive Nürburgring-tuned suspension setup, designed to maintain tyre contact on uneven surfaces, supported by an electric power steering calibration tailored for precise control. A bespoke 4 wheel drive control mode replaces the standard GRAVEL setting, establishing a 50:50 front/rear torque distribution for balanced traction. Aerodynamic and visual enhancements include a carbon-fibre rear wing, carbon-fibre bonnet, front spoiler and side skirts, and wide matte-bronze wheels with yellow brake callipers. The exterior is finished exclusively in Gravel Khaki, a colour selected by Morizo, with Piano Black grille accents and a serialised MORIZO RR badge. Inside, the cabin is distinguished by a suede-covered steering wheel with yellow stitching, modified paddle shifters, bespoke control switches inspired by rally configuration, specially upholstered seats with coloured perforations and stitching, and a full TFT gauge display that highlights the bespoke MORIZO drive mode.
