Walkthrough by Bermy Beastiary: None Enemy Skills: None 0:00:00 - World Map Like always, this is entirely optional and it can take some time, so if you do not like fishing in this game, feel free to skip this entirely as it can be quite time consuming. As you likely noticed on the way to Syn City, there was a fishing spot just outside of Dauna Mines, which is our first stop. Head over towards Dauna Mines but hug the coast once you cross the wooden bridge. 0:00:14 - Fishing Spot #10 (South of Dauna Mines) There are 3 different types of fish here, but only 1 of them is new and is the main target here: Red Catfish - 400 maximum score (0:50:40) Unfortunately, Red Catfish are the exact same size as the regular Bass in the area, and the regular Bass will bite anything but a Coin. Red Catfish require the use of a Frog/Toad as bait, so simply catch everything in the area until you catch 3 Red Catfish, as that is all that there is at any given time. Once you have caught them, leave the fishing spot and re-enter it. Ideally, you will end up catching 15+ Red Catfish as you need quite a few for Manillo shops in the future. When you are done with this fishing spot, leave and return to the World Map, then go back across the wooden bridge on your left. This time, however, go up then left to the coast to reach another fishing spot. 0:51:52 - Fishing Spot #11 (North of Syn City) This fishing spot can be a real pain with your current rod due to all of the Pirana in the area and the fact that the Bamboo Rod can't cast out very far. There is only 1 new fish in the area - Barandy - and it likes to be pretty far offshore for the most part. You can isolate the Barandy, but they generally aren't close to shore. Odds are that you will only be able to catch 1 Barandy (or even 0) each time you enter this fishing spot currently. For that reason, I recommend catching Manillo constantly here to see if you can get the max score since you will be refreshing the fishing spot constantly. I only caught 450 point Manillo, but you can get a 500 point one if you are lucky. For now, I recommend only catching 4 Barandy to purchase a Katzbalger and 3 Laurels from the Manillo swimming around in the area. You can come back here when you have a better rod to catch a max score Barandy (unless you got really lucky). With all of that done, return to Syn City to sell fish and purchase any new armor/weapons that you need. The Manly Clothes revive the wearer once per battle, so they are somewhat useful, but the low armor stats make it somewhat of a niche item. Personally, I don't plan on using the 1 that I purchased, but you never know. Head outside of Syn City when you are ready to continue with the game.
