Micon-Kit Part II is an arcade game released by SNK (Shin Nihon Kikaku) in 1978 as an update to their first game, the Breakout clone Micon-Kit. Micon-Kit Part II is a ball-and-paddle game and a variant of the classic Breakout, where the player controls a paddle at the bottom of the screen to bounce a ball and destroy "bricks" at the top. A key addition is the inclusion of a depiction of the titular spaceship from the anime Uchuu Senkan Yamato as a moving obstacle on the screen. Hitting the ship provides bonus points and randomizes the ball's trajectory. the goal is to prevent the ball from hitting the floor and to clear the screen of all targets. The game is considered endless. The game was sold in kit form (hence the name "Micon Kit," a shortening of "microcomputer kit") intended to be an easily upgradable hardware system using early microcontrollers.
