New Carrousel-RAVE tug at Port Revel

This video shows the new Carrousel-RAVE tug concept using both Robert Allan's RAVE concept with two Voith-Schneider drives (one at the bow and one at the stern), and NOVATUG's Carrousel concept with a winch moving freely on a circular ring. Remote controlled tugs were introduced at Port Revel in 2000 for training in emergency conditions such as rudder and/or engine failures, emergency stops, proceeding through channels with engine/rudder failures, using the escort tug to stay in the channel.
