Beneath Hay Bluff is a community-led heritage film created by AVimmerse, in partnership with English Heritage and the University of Manchester, exploring the powerful stories, memories, and connections people have with the ancient Arthur’s Stone in Herefordshire. Through interviews with visitors, volunteers, and local community members at this iconic Neolithic site, the film captures how heritage can inspire belonging, reflection, and identity. In summer 2024, AVimmerse was invited to join the Beneath Hay Bluff project to help document community experiences at Arthur’s Stone. Over several days on site, we interviewed visitors and volunteers to understand what makes this landscape so meaningful. Their voices are at the heart of this film. Arthur’s Stone is a Neolithic burial chamber overlooking the Golden Valley, steeped in legend and archaeology. It is said to be the place where King Arthur slew a giant — the stone still holding the marks of his elbows. Learn more from English Heritage: https://www.english-heritage.org.uk/v...
