I always wondered if the S5 Pro can do area rugs. Now I have my answer! This video Is NOT sponsored and I bought these with m own money. I did some REAL WORLD tests comparing the Tineco S5 Pro with the Crosswave Cordless Max… and it’s none of that peanut butter and jelly with cereal and egg nonsense…. Sure, both machines can EASILY handle all that, but the REAL test is how they perform on Area Rugs. Your endless source of muck and your dog’s favourite napping spot!!! Let’s face it, in reality you’re mainly going to be dealing with PET HAIR, SALT, SAND… and area rugs are the main source of this. These machines will either become overwhelmed or power through. Well my test results might surprise you! Can Tineco S5 clean area rugs? Or will Bissell once again take the podium? I found out that with the Tineco, It’s DOABLE… But NOT RECOMMENDED!!! Meanwhile, Crosswave actually has Area Rug Mode and powers through even the dirtiest area rugs and door mats. It just cleans and refreshes Rug after Rug… and never gives up!!! The Tineco simply couldn’t handle the massive influx of dirt and pet hair from the area rugs and quickly became overwhelmed and quit. And now I see why they included a cleanout brush and Bissell did not… Unlike the Crosswave, the brush roller on the Tineco doesn’t have the row of stiff bristles, so it is not as effective on area rugs. Not only does the Tineco have less suction power, it relies on sensors to control the amount of solution dispensed and the suction intensity… and just doesn’t seem to use enough solution and suction boost at the right time, and frequently stops to ask me to clean the debris channel and run the self cleaning cycle (which can be ignored) On the other hand, Crosswave has a trigger that gives you full control of the solution flow, and its more powerful motor extracts with noticeably more force than the Tineco, which results in a more effective clean. Rug after rug, the crosswave just keeps going. I just loved how the crosswave was able to keep cleaning until the tank was full, uninterrupted. I found heavy sand and hair accumulation and wads of lint and fur bunched up in the Tineco’s roller cover… even after DEEP self cleaning. It tends to spit out little ropes of twisted fur and hair, which is kind of annoying since the Crosswave never leaves anything like that on the floor. The crosswave seems to self clean itself more effectively too. It handles the dirt sand and hair like a champ, sucking most of it into the tank and the machine itself comes out perfectly clean! Unlike the Tineco, Crosswave was designed for this job! ⚠️These products were selected and purchased by myself with my own money at sale prices plus the 15-20% discount provided by the companies to all first time buyers.
