While I recommend this space heater, before you decide on buying any space heater start with knowing your BTU requirement. The link to the online BTU calculator I used is http://www.calculator.net/btu-calcula... The space heater I decided on is model DR966 by Dr. Heater. I bought it on Amazon here http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00H... After some research and reading reviews I decided on this heater, which is a 240 volt heater with 3,000 and 6,000 watt settings. I don't think I could be happier with the results. At 6,000 watts this heater raises the ambient temperature in my workshop from 40 degrees to 60 degrees in under a half hour. After that I switch it to 3,000 watts and it runs only intermittently from that point to maintain that temperature. So i this video I am showing you how I used to heat my workshop with two, inadequate ceramic heaters and how I am heating my workshop now with the DR966. My workshop is about 1,900 cubic feet and this space is not nearly as well insulated as it could be. So to heat my workshop by up to 30 degrees effectively and efficiently I need 19,630 BTU/hour or 5,753 watts. With two settings of 3,000 and 6,000 watts and over 20,000 in BTU this space heater meets my heating demands quite well. Remember to keep your space heater, ANY space heater, clear of obstacles and clean. Not doing so is just asking for trouble. Thank you for watching. I hope you found this video helpful in your decision making process on finding a safe, effective, and efficient space heater. Have a great and WARM day!
