Fracture of the lateral condyle of the humerus is a common pediatric elbow injury and an important topic for MBBS students in Nepal, especially in orthopedics and anatomy viva. It usually occurs in children due to fall on an outstretched hand and involves the lateral condylar epiphysis of the distal humerus. This fracture is clinically significant because it is an intra-articular fracture and may affect the growth plate. Management may be conservative (immobilization with above-elbow cast) in undisplaced fractures, while displaced fractures often require surgical intervention such as open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) with K-wires or screws.
