FREE Map Animation (actually FREE)

This video shows an easy way to create FREE animated travel map videos. After watching several hours worth of videos and trying the different applications it turns out none of the tools were free. In most cases, not even a free trial. Frustrating. So, I reached into my own tool box of applications I already have and use- and are free - or offer free versions. And, I made this quick tutorial showing a basic map animation and an advanced map animation. I use Microsoft Windows 11, but you can easily adapt most or all of these methods for any PC/laptop OS. Phones or tablets may present additional challenges as OBS Studio isn't made for those devices. The tools I use are: For the basic map video you really only need: Google Maps (or equivalent), Lunapic (only if you need to make a transparent background) and OBS Studio. For the Advanced map video, I use: 1. Google Maps 2. Powerpoint (but you can use Paint, Google Presentations, Apple Photo App- or any free photo editor you want), (and the photo editor is optional- you can easily skip this part) 3. Lunapic.com (to make a transparent background of your image) 4. OBS Studio (will always be free) 5. Capcut (the free version) 6. KlingAI for the advanced video (you get 164 credits to sign up, use them on the setting that generates a 10-second video for 30 or 40 credits and you have multiple chances to create what you want) It might take some practice, but once you do this a few times you'll be able to create an animated travel map within a few minutes!
