Welcome to the Newson Gale Bond-Rite® range product overview video – our range of products featuring a high-intensity LED for electrostatic grounding and bonding of metal containers and simple metal plant equipment. The Bond-Rite® range provides a safe and simple method of verifying the bond between two metal items to 10 ohms or less , for example a local earth bar and a drum, giving the operator a clear GO/NO-GO visual indication. This enables the operator to verify, not just that the electrostatic bond has been made, but also very importantly that a good connection is maintained throughout the duration of the process. The Bond-Rite® range is aimed at applications where the operator is local to the process and where no interlock control is required. The monitoring circuit is an intrinsically safe ‘ia’ circuit, meaning all Bond-Rite® products are safe to install and operate in all zones. Visual indication is provided to the operator, by a single high-intensity green flashing LED, verifying that 10 ohms or less connection has been made, meeting the safety recommendations of IEC 60079-32-1 and NFPA 77, for grounding metal vessels within a flammable atmosphere. If the 10 ohms or less connection is not met or is lost during the process then the Bond-Rite® will not give a visual indication, informing the operator that the process is at risk of charge accumulation.
