How Do I Get There? - Family Medicine

Are you a rural Alberta high school student interested in learning more about a career as a family physician? This session is for you! Explore a Career in Family Medicine! Chantal Schultz, a 2nd year med student at UAlberta and volunteer from the University of Alberta MD Ambassadors program shares insights into her journey to medical school, the path to becoming a family physician, and what studying in the MD program at the University of Alberta is really like. The MD Ambassadors program is an outreach program led by current U of A medical students. They provide information and answer questions about pursuing a career in medicine. Our presentation includes information on the medical school admission process, a Q&A session where we answer questions from students and teachers pertaining to medical school, information on other opportunities to explore a career in medicine, and share a bit about our journey!
