Wondrous Waterton – Cycling Adventure!

This is a cycling video to be used with an indoor stationary bike trainer or just for your viewing pleasure. This ride was done on the 3rd of September 2025 and was the first ride in my Southern Alberta Roundup. The first stop in my Roundup was to visit my brother in Lethbridge, Alberta. We drove together with my bike in his van to Waterton Lakes National Park where I started the ride. The route was as simple as possible: From Waterton Park, get on the Akamina Parkway. Follow it till it ends at Cameron Lake. Turn around and come back. The route is about 16 km one way, but goes up over 300m which is about 1100’. Whew! A forest fire went through there a few years ago. Some of the scenery is otherworldly due to all the burned out trees. Plus there were a lot of active bears in the area, so it sure was nice having Brother Christian close by. The best part of that though, was that Brother Christian following me in the van allowed him to jump ahead and taking roving video of my ride! His excellent videography is included in this video.
