Jeffrey Lipton is a PhD candidate at the Cornell Creative Machines Lab and the current lead of the Fab@Home project. He has been with the Fab@Home Project since 2008. He received his bachelor's degree in Applied and Engineering Physics from Cornell. His work has focused on Architecture, bio-printing, and system design. He has also pioneered work in the field of Digital Cooking. Currently he is involved in the MacArthur foundation funded Fab@School project which seeks to transform education through digital fabrication. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
