Mexican Style Cream Cheese Flan Recipe Noreen's Kitchen

Greetings! Today I am participating in a collaboration with the Cooked by Julie channel! We are both doing different types of Flan! I am making a Mexican style cream cheese flan and Julie is making a Chocoflan over on her channel! This flan is a little bit different than your typical all egg flan in that it incorporates the addition of some cream cheese. This gives the flan a firmer and creamier texture without being as eggy as a traditional flan and it also is less slippery as well. This flan is delicious. I baked mine a little too long and it turned a bit dark on the bottom, however I was able to scrape that part off and we were able to enjoy the flan once it was released from the pan. This has an amazing flavor and is creamy and rich and perfect with the melted sugar caramel baked into the top. This one is a keeper. In our house, my youngest daughter Micah is in love with Flan and when we eat at our favorite Mexican restaurant, I think she eats dinner just to get to dessert!
