Welcome to Podbaba Transport Video 1021, filmed at first in Wolverhampton then Birmingham City Centre. We went to Wolverhampton to film the trams but were already aware that, by 09:30, the timetable had fallen apart yet again with trams running in convoys and no regular frequency. You would have thought that, following the chaos on Monday 16th March 2026, plans would have been in place to sort the frequencies out. What is obvious is that a tram cannot go from Bull Street to Millennium Point and back in the same time as turning towards Edgbaston Village direct – hence all the very late running. CAF Urbos 100, 57, was out on test and started running back from Edgbaston to Millennium Point making the right turn out of Corporation Street then returning directly from Lower Bull Street to Bull Street, turns we had not seen so far. CAF Urbos 100, 46, was out again in service. By 12:30, there was no logic behind which trams ran down to Millennium Point and, at one stage, we filmed two down the branch. Perhaps the logic was "have you done your training?". If negative response, send down to Millennium Point. This timetable cannot continue as customers were complaining vociferously to staff and they will vote with their feet and move away from the trams!
