I worked as an Electrician at the Collinwood Yards from 1977 to 1981. What an experience. I was 18 and green as could be. Here ten years later after Conrail ceased operations at the backshop and traction motor shop, in all, they closed everything on the east side of east 152nd, everything was overhaul and rebuild. They kept the diesel terminal open, running repair. broke stuff would come into the "garage" not for overhaul. The pictures at the end are of the East side of the street, One pic has gas prices from the Sohio across the street.
