Gamplay of New Squiffer on clam blitz. It's been quite a long time since I've last use this weapon, so I wanted to give this weapon another shot. Thanks to @jason9895 for requesting this weapon. New Squiffer is a mid range weapon that does good damage, can one shot opponents, solid mobility, fast charge time, and okay paint output. And the kit is quite solid. Autobomb is a sub weapon that will follow the nearest opponent that near the seeking area. Once it lands on the ground, it will seek opponents near it. Once it find an opponent, it will waddle toward them and shortly explode once near them. And zipcaster is a special weapon that allow you to grapple onto almost any surfaces from a long distance, leaving an explosion on impact on the surface. You can use your main weapon while using zipcaster and once your ink is fully drained or the duration is up, you jump back to the place you activated the special. Now let's talk about the strength and weakness of this weapon and it's kit. The weapon can be quite threatening when you're able to hit your shot. The fast charge speed and having no charge penalty in the air makes the weapon quite good at quickly getting kills. The weapon can also hold a full charged and due to not having a charge penalty in the air, you can jump and charge your shot to hit opponent over ledges more easier. Autobomb can help you seek out opponent sharking or hiding in areas and in some cases, can help in displacing or killing opponent from a good distance. And the sub is quite cheap for a lethal bomb. And with zipcaster, you can continue the pressure by zipping around and either distracting or applying pressure with the impact explosion or your weapon. You have some armor when zipping around and hitting opponent directly with the impact damage from a good distance will one shot them. It also give you more ways of approaching your opponents. But the weapon can be quite vulnerable if you can't hit your shots. The charge speed is fast, but enemies can still punish you when charging up your attack. And if you miss, you're very vulnerable to attacks. You also get outrange by other mid range weapons as well as long range weapons. Autobomb can easily be avoided by baiting out the explosion or swimming away from it and although zipcaster is good for continuing the pressure, it's pretty hit or miss when using your main weapon. There's some end lag on the impact explosion, leaving you vulnerable to attack. You're also vulnerable to attack when jumping back. So when playing New Squiffer, you want to apply some aggro pressure. Utilizes cover and try to flank your opponents to close the distance and apply pressure. Just try to have your attack fully charged before engaging in fight. Throw some autobombs to help you find opponents sharking and displace them and once you have your special ready, use it to continue the pressure. Try to activate it behind cover and zip around terrain to distract your opponents and get kills with the impact damage. You can also use your main weapon to apply pressure, but you'll mostly be trying to get kills with the impact explosion. Just remember to not overextend too much and maintain your ink output.
