We’re back in Cape Town! This time we’re heading to Mariner’s Wharf in Hout Bay, a charming fishing village just a short drive from the city. Mariner’s Wharf is one of Cape Town’s most iconic seafood spots. Downstairs, you’ll find the casual Wharfette Bistro with its famous Fish & Chips (we tried it on our last visit — video linked below). Upstairs, you can enjoy the more formal Wharfside Grill & Restaurant, which is where we’re dining today. Since we had a big breakfast at our hotel, we decided to go light and share two dishes: Snoek Pâté – oak-smoked in the kilns of Mariner’s Wharf Fishmarket, served with fresh bread slices. Prawns Kingfisher – a generous serving of prawns grilled in your choice of peri-peri, lemon, or garlic butter sauce (we went with the garlic butter). We paired our meal with refreshing alcohol-free Heineken beers. 🍻 Come join us for lunch by the sea and get a taste of Cape Town’s seafood culture!
