A B. Com graduate with an MBA, Smita Pingale hails from Pune, Maharashtra, and is a successful entrepreneur, serving as Director of her own private limited company. Rooted in strong values inherited from her freedom fighter father and social worker mother, Smita’s life beautifully blends professional excellence with committed social service. With over 30 years in Inner Wheel, her journey spans impactful leadership at Club, District, Association, and International levels and is currently the IIW Editor / Media Manager. From being honoured as Best Club President to serving as Association President, her contributions include landmark initiatives such as long-running joint projects in Pune, major national relief efforts, women-centric Signature Projects, and the establishment of the first Inner Wheel Club in Dubai. Known for her liberal leadership style, tech-savviness, creativity, and team spirit, Smita has convened several prestigious national and international Inner Wheel events, including the 15th National Triennial Conference “Wings of Love” in Pune.
