When this was taken, it was just before the R211s started to flood the (G) Line. The R211As still had not entered revenue (G) Train service yet. The R211s started to really take over in June and that was when the MTA announced that the (G) would be all R211s after the middle of July. So for the record, in early July, there will be another roundtrip on the R46 (G) before the loans leave the line. It would also be announced that sometime in the next few months, some R211s will run on QBL to test the built in CBTC, so whenever the rare R211A (E) (F) or (R) Train comes, I will catch it for you guys. Since the R211s will be the largest order since the R160s, it might be a little easier to get that rare catch, but time will tell. This year will be a banner year for the R211s as they run on new routes. And this was an enjoyable ride and a smooth one too. The R211s are really nice, whether with or without the gangways. I tried other runs before the Indianapolis 500, but just wasn’t too lucky. However, this was a great treat. So yeah, I hope you guys enjoy this one.
