Since its construction in 2020, Sydney’s purpose-built speedway has experienced a challenging and often turbulent start. Originally known as Eastern Creek Speedway and later Sydney International Speedway, the venue has undergone three name changes and three management structures in just four years - a period that has sparked plenty of discussion within the local dirt track racing community and abroad. Now operating as Western Sydney Speedway, the venue is managed by Mitch Biner on behalf of Sydney Dragway, the neighbouring lease holders.
