Valencia’s cosmopolitan vibe and stunning artistic spirit attract people from all over the world, so it’s no surprise that Javier sings his songs in both Spanish and English. We filmed in front of one of the city’s most iconic landmarks — the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía (Queen Sofia Palace of the Arts) at the City of Arts and Sciences. This breathtaking structure was designed by fellow Valencian artist and architect Santiago Calatrava. Our filming spot was right outside the front door of the Berklee School of Music, Valencia campus. I was lucky to include this taping as part of a workshop for the students, who not only helped with the recording but also became an enthusiastic impromptu audience. “Living in Valencia, Spain, has deeply marked my musical trajectory.
