Oreo is everybody's ultimate favorite cookie. Here is Oreo cookie recipe from scratch which is simply yummylicious. This Oreo is no egg recipe so every one can try this easy peasy Oreo biscuit recipe. So let's get started. Softened unsalted Butter (1/4 Cup or 57 grams) ( You can use salted, avoid salt in that case) Caster Sugar (1/3 Cup or 50 grams) (https://amzn.to/2Lowm4e ) Vanilla Essence (1/4 Tsp) (https://amzn.to/2tgDfN1) Blend until its soft & fluffy All purpose flour (2/3 Cup or 85 grams) Baking Powder (1/2 Tsp) (https://amzn.to/2JYlKvm) A pinch of salt ( Avoid salt if you are using salted butter) Dark Cocoa Powder (2 Tbsp) ( I have used Hershey's Special Dark Cocoa Powder. Click here to buy it : https://amzn.to/2ke1qYm ) This dark cocoa powder will give you that nice black colored cookie. Substitute : Normal unsweetened cocoa powder would do. But there would a color difference and slight taste change. Milk (1 Tbsp) Sift all the dry ingredients Give a slight mix Blend it for 10 sec ( Do Not Blend it for more time otherwise gluten will form and the cookies will be very flat after baking ) Form a ball Wrap the dough in cling film or a ziplock bag so that it does not dry out Refrigerate for 1 hour ( Refrigeration is important as it will harden the butter again and will give crumbly and crunchy texture to the cookies ) After 1 hour Put the dough in between 2 parchment papers If parchment paper is not available, you can use plastic or sprinkle some flour and roll it out Roll it until you get thickness of 2 - 3 mm Cut the cookies with cookie cutter The diameter of the cookies should be approximately 4 cm Knead & roll the remaining dough to make more cookies This recipe makes around 20 - 22 cookies and that means 10 - 11 sandwiched cookies. Pre-heat Oven at 160C & bake it for 15 min Keep an eye as these cookies might easily get burnt Let it cool completely To make Vanilla Creme : Softened Butter (1/4 Cup) Vanilla essence (1/4 Tsp) ( Use a good quality vanilla extract as this will be one of the main ingredient which can affect the taste) Blend until soft & fluffy Icing Sugar (1/3 Cup) (https://amzn.to/2JKviuF) Give a light mix or else when you blend you will have sugar all over you and your place Blend until light and fluffy Transfer it in a piping bag or ziploc bag Assemble the cookies by putting generous amount of icing.
