Lost Hotels of Teignmouth: Then & Now on a Damp Day – 27/02/26

A damp day sent me off on a slightly different tangent today. Rather than heading for my usual coastal haunts, I opted for a residential wander, seeking out the sites of three lost hotels of Teignmouth. All three buildings are now private homes, but it’s fascinating to compare how they look today with their adverts from 25 years ago - a reminder of just how much (and how little) changes. It took me along streets I don’t often walk, which made for a refreshing change of scene. And just as I reached Lidls… the rain began. Timing, as they say, is everything!
