XC from Bradwell to Grimsby

The forecast was WSW, so a toss-up between Stanage Edge (SW) or Bradwell (W), decided by a report that Bradwell was looking ok. A lot of paraglider pilots were there, with the intention of getting away early and heading to the coast (Bridlington or Grimsby) before the local airspace was closed down by a temporary restriction, due to the King flying south from Scotland. I was hoping to get a big flight, and maybe make it as far as Grimsby, which meant heading east rather than directly downwind. Unfortunately my video camera packed in near Sheffield, so apologies for the lack of pictures. I finished the day at Grimsby after 4hours 40 minutes and 115km, with my vario just about to run out of battery and an urgent need to have a pee, which is my biggest flight by far! Happy days!
