Taneční workshop | ZŠ a ZUŠ Šmeralova, Karlovy Vary

The second residency of the S.I.O. project concluded on Saturday, June 17, 2023, with a dance workshop for the public at the ZŠ a ZUŠ Šmeralova, Karlovy Vary. This four-hour movement workshop was led by Eliška Benešová and Kristýna Peldová, who shared with the participants various themes and principles that were explored during this residency: ▪️ Movement games in couples involving gentle weight sharing and individual's structure research. ▪️ improvisation through body scanning and focus on skeleton system increasing body awereness and movement articulation. ▪️ Researching and defining the individual's "safety" - or "sense of home" and its importance when improvising in group of people. ▪️ Open instant composition session with defined principles and rules. We are grateful to all participants for their attendance. It was a very beautiful time shared with you - captivating for our further artistic research which intentionally expands beyond theatres and aims to bring dances to people out of capitals or art institutions.
