Day 42 | Numbers 1-2 The army of the Lord is set to match to victory. A census is taken. The men over 20 years and can fight in the army, number 603,550. Each trade has its leader and their divisions. The levites are not counted, for their work will be to serve in the sanctuary and protect the nation from God's wrath. The formation of the army is spread in the south, north, east, and west. Everyone knows their position. This is how they will match ahead - with the levites carrying the Ark of the covenant in front. Lesson: God is extremely orderly. Taking into account every detail for his people. This order is prescribed for us in the NT - that the leaders of God's people should lead them to war. This war is not a battle of flesh and blood like the Israelites, but a battle against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realm. So we must prepare for war, but with the right kind of weapons: righteousness, faith, truth, salvation, the gospel, and prayer. ( Ephesians 6:10-18)
