#shahabomer #heritagechronicles Join us on a captivating journey through Lahore Fort’s Moti Masjid, a place shrouded in mystery, history, and faith. Moti Masjid or Moti Mosque is located in Lahore Fort / Shahi Qila Lahore. Some historical references suggest that Moti Masjid was built during the reign of the Mughal Emperor Nur-ud-din Muhammad Salim (31 August 1569 – 28 October 1627), known by his imperial name Jahangir , but the marble work was completed during the reign of Mirza Shahab-ud-Din Muhammad Khurram (5 January 1592 – 22 January 1666), commonly called Shah Jahan I and during this period it was named Moti Masjid. The mosque opens at 8 a.m. and closes at 4 p.m. During the Sikh era, Maharaja Ranjit Singh converted it into a Tosha Khana توشہ خانہ, where royal treasures were kept.
