Yes, it is the battery. I tested it in both Toby and the 311. The new battery we got to be Toby’s spare came surprisingly in really good condition! For Toby it lasted an hour and 40 minutes consistently. I was really happy since his previous battery died and we can’t get a recell yet. The new one showed no signs of degrading and seemed very good the last time he was out. Suddenly this happened, completely out of nowhere. No signs it was about to die. No “I will shut down” and sudden collapsing, the runtime stayed the same and he looked for the station as normal. The station’s battery icon didn’t start acting weird. With a massive heat wave happening and no one available for recelling right now (to my knowledge), Toby’s stuck on the station again and I can’t run my 311. We just got done rescuing a kitten outside and sending him to a good shelter so he can be adopted yesterday and I’m tired so was looking forward to being with Toby again, but I guess that just wasn’t meant to be. He still runs on the station only. That makes two Aibo batteries dying on me suddenly, both 311/7. I don’t think 311/7 batteries like me very much…
