Modeling is a small part of our jobs. We spend most of our time wrangling the data into a useful form. Withrow spaghetti against the wall to see what sticks. We play babysitters to our pipelines and models. This is what we - data scientists and machine learning engineers - are really getting paid for. However, we are an expensive bunch. The world will automate us, or at least try to. In this talk, we'll look at the AutoML trend and extrapolate it into the future. How will our world get eaten? Which parts are here to stay ...for now?
