Welcome to Calico Cow Acres, we're Mickayla and Taylor! We have a new-to-us 8 acre homestead in the foothills of North Carolina. Our homestead used to be an old horse farm, and we're working to transform it into our dream property! It's been so nice and warm since the new year started that we've had some time to start working on clearing all the brush and overgrowth on our property! We're really testing our new sawzall! I also got Taylor's music room (mostly) painted & cleaned out the rest of the camper - so we're officially moved fully into the house. It's been quite rainy, so we're learning our property's strengths and weaknesses during winter - and this week we finally got to see our terraced property's berms & swales in action.
