For the full tour of the line: • ⁴ᴷ⁶⁰ Canada’s Most Spectacular Passenger T... Step aboard for a rare and unforgettable front-window journey on the Tsal’alh Seton Train, a little-known but absolutely vital rail link that serves the remote Seton Lake First Nation in British Columbia. Operating between Lillooet and Seton Portage, deep in the rugged interior of BC, this unique service uses special hi-railer railbuses. These vehicles can travel on railroad tracks and paved roads, as you'll see near the end of the video, where the train switches to road mode upon arriving in Seton Portage. 🎥 In this video, you’ll see the incredible natural beauty of the region from the operator’s perspective. Watch as the train hugs the side of Seton Lake and rolls through some of the most rugged and breathtaking terrain in Canada. This is not just a scenic ride. It is a window into the critical infrastructure that keeps remote communities connected. As is common, it was raining when we visited, but we hope that the windshield wipers aren’t too distracting! 🚨 Important Notice for Visitors: This is not a tourist train. It is a critical essential service that provides the only reliable transportation for many residents of the Seton Lake First Nation. Anyone considering a visit must recognize the critical role this service plays in supporting the daily lives of First Nations residents and act with respect and consideration at all times. While individuals or small groups of visitors are sometimes allowed to ride, arrangements must be made in advance with the Seton Lake First Nation. Due to limited capacity, visitors should be aware that they may not be able to board on many trips, especially during busy periods when the train is in high demand by the community. This route was originally part of the BC Rail network, a government-owned railway that ran from North Vancouver to Prince George. It was built to serve remote communities that, even today, are not well connected by road. When regular passenger service ended in 2002, many communities lost their primary means of access. To maintain a vital connection, the Tsal’alh Seton Train was introduced to provide a limited but essential schedule between Lillooet and Seton Portage. For many locals, this train remains the only practical way in or out of the community. 🔒 All footage in this video was recorded with permission. Please respect railroad property.
