On February 16th, 2026, a powerful storm system moved across Southern California, causing widespread flooding and hazardous driving conditions from Los Angeles County to the Inland Empire and High Desert. In Long Beach, the southbound 710 Freeway near Long Beach Boulevard flooded in multiple locations, leaving one white sedan stranded in standing water before Los Angeles County Fire Department crews assisted by pushing the vehicle to safety. Additional vehicles became trapped beneath the Union Pacific railroad tracks at Willow Street and the 103 Freeway, where firefighters safely escorted occupants out with no reported injuries. In Lynwood, heavy rainfall left an estimated 4 to 6 inches of standing water at Imperial Highway and Long Beach Boulevard, impacting traffic flow. Further inland, heavy rain caused flooding near Peach Avenue and Ranchero Road in Hesperia, where roadways became increasingly dangerous as precipitation continued. Forecasters indicated rain was expected to persist through Thursday. In Fontana, roadway flooding was also reported along Cherry Avenue as the storm system moved through the region. Authorities urged motorists across Southern California to slow down, avoid flooded roadways, and use extreme caution as conditions continued to evolve. • This video was made for news & educational purposes only © Copyright 2026, All Rights Reserved.
